CFA Engaging Ontario Government on Bill 148

September 10, 2018

Summer's almost over and as the House meets on September 24, the CFA will be reaching out to the new Ford government urging them to review the amendments made to Ontario’s employment legislation in Bill 148: Fair Workplaces, Better Jobs Act, 2017.

As the Ontario government begins to fulfill its mandate, the CFA is requesting they create policies that best position Ontario to create jobs and a thriving economy. CFA understands its members are still reeling from the unprecedented increase in minimum wage and are relying on the new government to create conditions that make it easier to start and grow a business in Ontario.

As Premier Ford stated in his victory speech, “Ontario is open for business”; the CFA looks forward to helping government make this a true reality.
